Italian exports continue to grow: seize the moment and participate in Go-International!

According to Istat data released on June 17, 2022, in April 2022 a cyclical growth is estimated for trade flows with foreign countries. The monthly increase in exports affects all the main groups of industries and is mainly driven by sales of energy (+ 18.0%) and non-durable consumer goods (+ 2.0%), to both areas , EU (+ 1.2%) and non-EU (+ 1.8%). On an annual basis, in April 2022 exports still show very sustained growth (+ 14.9%), with increases spread to all sectors, except motor vehicles, and to all the main partner countries, with the exception of Russia, China and Japan. Growth is more sustained in the EU area (+ 17.7%) than in non-EU markets (+ 11.9%).
Among the sectors that contribute most to the trend increase in exports are: base metals and metal products, excluding machines and plants (+ 24.1%), pharmaceutical, chemical-medicinal and botanical items (+ 48.4%) ), refined petroleum products (+ 123.9%), chemicals and chemicals (+ 20.3%) and food, beverages and tobacco products (+ 11.0%).
On an annual basis, the countries that provide the greatest contributions to the increase in national exports are the United States (+ 18.9%), Germany (+ 13.5%) and France (+ 14.5%).
In the first four months of 2022, the trend growth in exports (+ 20.7%) is due in particular to the increase in sales of basic metals and metal products (+ 27.9%), pharmaceuticals, chemical-medicinal products. and botanicals (+ 31.7%), refined petroleum products (+ 93.2%) and chemicals and substances (+ 27.4%).
National export data underline the importance of participating in Go-International, the export services fair, to be held on 4-5 October 2022 at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan (here the link to register for free). As many as 49 companies will have the opportunity to present their services in the exhibition space and thanks to the numerous workshops organized. The data concerning the trade flows of the Italian regions are also important and noteworthy. In the first quarter of 2022, compared to the previous one, strong economic growth in exports is estimated for all territorial divisions: + 9.3% for the South and Islands, + 9.1% for the Center, + 9.0% for the North-west and + 8.1% for the North-east.
On an annual basis, in the same period, exports show widespread and very sustained growth (+ 22.9%): the increase in exports is very marked for the Islands (+ 58.4%), around the national average for the North-East (+ 24.2%) and the North-West (+ 23.1%), more contained for the Center (+ 17.0%) and the South (+ 14.3%).
